Bucerius Governance Talks -
Geneva (May 5-7, 2006)

The event took place at the World Economic Forum in Geneva following the invitation by Professor Klaus Schwab. The conference with approximately forty participants was entitled “Complex Problems – Complex Solutions. Multi-Stakeholder Approaches to Global Governance”. The discussions mainly concentrated on appropriate ways to cope with pandemics (e.g. HIV/AIDS) and on the prospects of global prevention strategies. Apart from Klaus Schwab, Richard Feachem (Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis) and Keiji Fukuda (Global Influenza Program) spoke to the audience.
