The Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance is organized by the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius. Since 1971, the ZEIT-Stiftung has been involved in the funding of projects in various fields of science and research, education and training, as well as arts and culture. The Foundation was established by Gerd Bucerius (1906-1995), the founder and publisher of Germany's leading quality weekly DIE ZEIT.
Since 2004, the Bucerius Summer School has been organized in cooperation with the
Heinz Nixdorf Stiftung. The Heinz Nixdorf Stiftung was established by the IT entrepreneur Heinz Nixdorf (1925-1986). The Foundation promotes professional education, scientific research and teaching, liberal and democratic governmental systems and public health. Its Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum (HNF) in Paderborn is the largest computer museum of the world.
